The Total Tervuren: Body, Mind & Soul, presented by Suzanne Clothier

The well-balanced Tervuren is a powerful and versatile package of intelligence, humor, athletic ability, solid temperament and great physical beauty. Bringing out the best in any Tervuren is a balancing act that must consider the whole dog—physical, emotional, mental—and doing your best as a handler to prepare, condition and enhance at every level. Whether your focus is the breed ring, performance or multi-disciplines, Suzanne will offer a balanced approach to helping your Tervuren shine!

Suzanne Clothier has been working with animals professionally since 1977, with a deep background of experience that includes obedience, agility, puppy testing, breeding, Search & Rescue, conformation and canine midwifery.

She has lectured for groups as varied as NADOI, APDT, FEMA (Northeast Region Disaster Dog Teams), Alaskan Dog Musher Association, Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society, St. Hubert's Giralda, AKC Obedience Judges, Volhard's Annual Training Camp and many other obedience, agility and breed clubs throughout the country.

An award-winning author of videos, books, booklets and numerous articles, her work has appeared in the AKC Gazette, Dog Fancy, Dogs In Canada, Off Lead, Clean Run, Wolf Clan, and breed magazines and newsletters around the world. She served as a committee member for the AKC's Agility Advisory Task Force for the Development of Humane Standards in Dog Training. Her video, Your Athletic Dog, is used by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association and Optissage in their trainings. Her latest book, Bones Would Rain From The Sky -- Deepening Our Relationships With Our Dogs, has received widespread praise from every corner of the dog world.

A German Shepherd breeder for 20+ years, her Hawks Hunt GSDs have been successful in obedience, agility, SAR, tracking, herding and therapy work; she is also the co-breeder of a National Specialty BOB Brittany.
