Tapestries: Pablo - Thursday, September 21, 2006, 9:27 PM It's a couple hours before sundown when you hear a sound outside your den, a snuffling, then a greeting noise, 'Yiska, are you awake?' You recognize the sounds of Night-Talker out there. Yiska shifts in his den and slowly makes his way out into the open. He sniffs at the air and pokes his head out to see what's needed of him. Night-Talker noses you affectionately. We are very proud of you. Your song was very good last night. You have made the whole tribe proud of you. Yiska folds his ears back and laughs to Night-Talker. I only did what was required, the song came from my heart. I thought it might be laughed at.. 'From your heart is the place all songs should come from. There are many, even many Moon Dancers who do not know or understand that. It is good that you do already.' She pauses, then asks, 'How are you feeling?' The cub turns his head to the side. I am feeling fine, confused and a little alone, but fine. I will find my place here, I am sure of it. He laughs again, tail wagging just a little. Night-Talker is glad. 'I know this place is very different than the Great North Woods. It is always difficult when many Garou of different places are brought together in one. I was wondering what you thought of Night-Spirit's vision. It impacts you greatly. Do you think you will be comfortable in the pack with four homids?' Yiska bobs his head and swishes his tail a bit more, 'I do. I like the homids very much, they are quickly becoming family to me.' He peers behind Night-Talker towards the cabin, almost chuckling to himself, 'They are loud and strange. But it is a challenge to understand them and actually quite fun.' This pleases Night-Talker a great deal. She sits back on her haunches, relaxing. 'That is excellent news. Night-Spirit was worried, as he found his first pack with homids very strange.' This makes her chuckle as well. 'But he always had his sister.' She pauses, 'Have you been told of Night-Spirit's sister, Wind-Cries?' Yiska lifts his head, ears perking. 'No, I have never been told of her.. nor have I seen her.' Night-Talker shakes her head in a homid gesture of negation. 'None have seen her for six years. She went on a quest and has never returned. Bison has told us she still lives, but no one knows where she is.' The older Wendigo wears a distressed expression. 'She was born of the same pack as Night-Spirit, of the same parents, the spring after he. So he knew her before his First Change.'
