Clear, and cold. The ground is covered in snow. The sky is clear, no moon in the sky, but the stars twinkle down. The forest is silent, eerily silent. Shay stands alone in the middle of the strange clearing, a little unsure of how he got there. After a long moment, Yiska arrives at the edge. Oh great, Shay thinks to himself. Another dream. Shay waves to Yiska but appears in no hurry to get there. Yiska pads into the clearing, tail tucked and ears perked and alert. He gazes at Shay and starts to pad closer, 'Hey..' he murmurs, cautiously. Only the sounds of Yiska's footfalls are heard, and his quiet sound. After a moment, and perhaps a glance around, the Wendigo recognizes where he is. The tall pines that stand alone in the snow around him, remind the young Galliard of the forest far to the north where he grew up. Shay sighs and rubs his forehead. If this is another vision... He puts his hands in his pockets and looks around. "So, uh." Rebbeca pads up to Shay, after recognizing the space, and sits down on his haunches, 'Why are we here? This is near my old home..' He glances up at the homid, 'Did you do this?' "Not a clue," replies Shay. "Since you know where we are, lead the way?" Yiska stares up at Shay, 'Lead to where? I don't even know why we're here. I thought you were the theurge.' "Hey, evein a Galliard gets a frog in his throat now and then, right?" Shay shrugs his shoulders. "Let's um, go the direction of your house?" Yiska rolls his eyes in his head and aruptly turns around, 'It's a den, not a house. Fool homid.. don't they teach you anything about your ancestry?' Shay shifts into lupus form. 'Lead the way. I can hang in a den just fine.' Yiska groans and lopes off, keeping it slow for Shay to follow easily. The edge of the clearing comes quickly to the two Garou in lupus form. But there is something ... off about it. It seems darker, more forbidding than it should be. Shay stops up in front of the clearing's edge, sniffing at it warily. Something seems... wrong, to be sure, and he's not going to romp off into it. Yiska stops as well and sniffs about at the ground, 'This doesn't seem right..' He gingerly puts a footpad past the clearing's edge.. The galliard's foot crunches down onto the crust of the snow. The snow feels normal, but everything else seems quiet... deadened. 'This is odd.' Shay walks further out of the clearing, sniffing around. 'So I guess we keep going?' Yiska scowls and sniffs at the ground once more, 'I suppose..' He takes a few steps out of the clearing, alert and read to leap back. No obvious danger appears. It's more like the forest has gone to sleep here, a true Winter. It shouldn't be far, though, to the sept. Shay is now confused. Usually dreams seem to have... some purpose. Not just boring and quiet. 'Maybe we should keep going to get to the Sept?' Yiska nods his head and lopes off again, tail low as he peers about the dead forest. What's more troubling, perhaps, is that after a few minutes of moving towards where the Sept of the Great North Woods should be, there's no welcome feeling of being 'home' that one usually finds when crossing a bawn near a caern, even one as small as Yiska's home sept. And when the two Garou reach the caern's clearing, it too is quiet, and dead. There is no activity. Shay does not like this. He sits down on his haunches and howls, one of those 'Hey fellow Garou' greetings. Yiska lets Shay do the greeting howl as he himself pads around the empty camp. They should have been greeted by now, this is certainly wrong. There is a darkness, a darkness on the edge of this clearing, a darkness that begins to move, and sticking out of the darkness is a crescent of silver, gleaming in the dim light. The darkness moves towards Yiska, quickly picking up speed. And a growl comes from the darkness, ~You're not who I expected to come.~ Shay acts. He leaps to Yiska, intent on shoving him out of the way. "That's the thing! Move! We need to go!"" Yiska hops forward, letting Shay sail behind him - the wolf is rather intent on meeting this darkness head on, like any wolf would do to protect his home, 'Fool! Stand still, are you trying to get me killed?!' The wolf growls low and bows his head, hackles rising, ready to either pounce at the darkness or leap out of the way. The darkness comes forward, and moves towards Yiska, the shining silver blade swinging in the air. The growling voice is directed at Shay, though... somehow the theurge knows this. ~I will kill you and every one you love or care about until I have his head.~ Shay growls and backs up. 'It coudl cut up mammoth, it can get you!' he calls to Yiska, before he snaps his jaws. 'Who do you want?' Yiska stands his ground, his eyes studying the creature with an intent gaze, 'You won't get the chance! You'll have to get past me first, bane!' The wolf crouches low, as if he were about to pounce.. but instead draws his head up high and howls into the dead night - the howl is strange and haunting and yet it carries a fierceness that might make weaker souls turn tail and flee. The theurge's question isn't answered, and the galliard's challenge is met and answered. There's a growl from the darkness, and the silver blade sweeps downward and, in one clean swipe, removes the Wendigo's head. The Gaian sees this happen, watches for that horrific moment before both Garou wake up, in the places they normally sleep. Shay sits up and rubs his face. "Nuh." He puts on some clothes and goes on a hunt for Kelly. Yiska goes to find Bits. ;_; Going opposite ways, then, it's not surprising, but maybe a little awkward that the two packmates encounter each other just outside the door of the little cabin the homids share. Bits is sleeping inside, and Shay steps out, looking for his tribal elder. Shay crunches intot he snow and pauses as he spies Yiska. Okay, good - the lupus still has a head. That's at least comforting to know. Although, he's not aware he even shared the dream with the other garou. Yiska almost casually pads past Shay, mumbling a quick 'Be more forward about your stupid crazy dreams from now on.' as he passes the homid. The wolf looks pretty out of it, maybe even frightened. Probably why he's choosing to move into the cabin for the rest of his sleep. Shay lingers there in the snow, blinking. Be forward? he doesn't... ask anything though. And sits down on the steps of the cabin. Looking up at the sky, he checks the general level of the sun, to gauge time." Yiska pads past Shay and pushes his way into the cabin, so he can wake Bits up by laying on her feet and whining about his bad dream.
